DEMA 2008, Las Vegas 22 Oct to 25 Oct 2008
This year's DEMA will be held in LAS Vegas! Andrew and Jim will be there promoting Odyssea and Cocotinos with our booth (3103) in the Indonesia Pavilion. DEMA is a significant show in the dive calender for the industry professionals for diving, action water sports and adventure travel. Neptune's Christmas Treasure Hunt
For Christmas this year, Silvia and Maggie will be hosting a treasure hunt for all our guests who will be staying with us on christmas day. Neptune has chipped in and hide many gifts underwater in Wori bay so that every diver will get a gift. The catch is you need to look for it diving. Gifts such as Cocotinos Diving Holidays, Diving Masks, Souvenirs, Apparels, etc will be underwater for our guests to find. After the dives, we end the treasure hunting with the good ol'fashion divers party at the bar and restaurant hosted by Cocotinos. There is no extra charge, just join us on our special dive package! Cocotinos, Lombok Ground Breaking!
After months of preparation and permit applications, Cocotinos Lombok construction has commence on the 14 September 2008, which corresponds to the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar: a very auspicious day for ground breaking according to the Chinese almanac. Our latest accommodation plans will include a total of 28 rooms comprising of 1 double-storey bungalows with private roof top bathing and sun tanning facilities for romantic couples, 2 suites with private splash pools, 4 water's-edge villa rooms, 18 garden villa rooms and 3 Terrace Rooms.
We do already have the artist impression of our new resort, but we keep it till the next news update. In Addition, we will feature teasers of each accommodation category in the newsletters every month from the next newsletter; one category per newsletter. We will be keeping you posted via our news letters and website. It is certainly going to be exciting times for us. The official opening is still not fixed, but we are targeting to open in the final quarter of 2009. please feel free to drop us an email if you want to learn more about our next exciting resort development.
After 12 great months of helping lead the opening team for Cocotinos (Manado), Joan Mamahit has decided not to renew her contract and join her family in Surabaya. We would like to wish her all the best in her future and endeavours and thank her for a great job she has done leading the front office and hosting our guests during her time with us as resort manager.
We also bid our farewells to Nazlea (most of you will know her as Lea) and Dalton last month. Lea and Dalton has played key roles in providing services and the smiles to our guests in the front office and dive centre respectively. Congratulations to Lea as well on her upcoming wedding to Deddy in October. We wish the both of you our best and success in their new lives.
